The obverse (front) of the coin features a depiction of a cyclist with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) logo and the Olympic rings. The designer of the obverse was William C. Cousins. The reverse (back) of the coin features a bald eagle in flight with the Olympic torch and the U.S. flag. The reverse was designed by T. James Ferrell. The coins were minted at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark) and the Denver Mint ("D" mint mark).
